UFC light heavyweight champion John Jones will defend his belt on February 8 at the Toyota Center in Houston against the Dominican Race at UFC 247.
Jones, who is at the top of the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings, suffered his only loss through a disqualification for an illegal downward elbow against Matt Hamill in a 22-1 record game in 2009.
The two-time champ has defended the belt twice since his victory over Alexander Gustafsson on December 29, 2018. Jose won the unanimous decision against Anthony Smith before defeating Thiago Santos by a split decision.
